October 29 - RRCSD will Continue in Hybrid Model

October 29, 2020

Dear Parents and Guardians:

Earlier this afternoon, Governor DeWine announced that Cuyahoga County is staying at Level 3 (Red) on the COVID-19 Public Health Advisory System. As a result of this announcement and after consulting with officials at the Cuyahoga County Board of Health, the Rocky River City School District (RRCSD) will continue to operate in the Hybrid (Yellow) Instructional Model.

While we have not seen examples of in-school spread in RRCSD, we must remain vigilant moving forward in our Hybrid model. It is imperative that everyone continues to follow the primary safety procedures and protocols that are in place throughout the district, including a health and wellness check each morning, staying home if you are sick, wearing a mask, proper hand washing, and social distancing.

The situation around schools and COVID-19 is fluid and we will continue to monitor information and guidance from the Governor’s office and local health officials. The health, safety and well-being of our students, staff and community remains our top priority.

Thank you for your continued support of the Rocky River City School District.

Sincerely,

Dr. Michael G. Shoaf

Superintendent
