RRHS Alumnus Martin Savidge Sends Video Greetings
CNN reporter Martin Savidge, a graduate of Rocky River High School, sent video greetings to seniors Cam Kysela, John St. Pierre, and Justin Monte. Cam, John and Justin collaborated on a series of videos called “Cam on the Case."  The first episode of critically acclaimed "Cam on the Case" follows Cam as he embarks on an adventure in search of the missing Rocky River High School smokestack.
RRMS Students Shine at Contest
Congratulations to 7th and 8th grade choir students and 8th grade band students from Rocky River Middle School who performed and competed at the Music in the Parks Contest on Saturday, May 16th in Sandusky. Each group performed for 2 judges who were college professors or other music professionals. Our three student ensembles each received the First Place award in their divisions. The Choir 8 and Band 8 students earned Superior ratings and the Choir 7 students earned an Excellent rating.  
RREF Pirates Parents Campaign
The Rocky River Education Foundation is once again conducting our Pirates Parents Campaign. We are asking each family with a child in the District to donate $25 (or whatever amount fits your budget) to the campaign by June 15th. Every dollar of your tax-deductible contribution will fund grants which will directly benefit our students beginning this fall.  
Library Trustee Vacancy
The Rocky River Board of Education has the duty to appoint trustees to the Rocky River Public Library Board of Trustees. There are two trustee vacancies open: the term of August 12, 2015-June 30, 2019 (four years) and the term of August 12, 2015-June 30, 2022 (seven years).  
Rocky River Board of Education Vacancy
There is a vacancy on the Rocky River Board of Education due to the resignation of Jay Milano, who is moving out of the district. 
Reception for Jay Milano
Rocky River Board of Education member Jay Milano has resigned his position as he is moving out of the district. Please join us at a reception from 4-5 PM on May 21 to thank him for his decade of service to the Rocky River City School District.  
Rocky River City School District Qualifies for Auditor of State Award with Distinction
A recent financial audit of the Rocky River City School District by Auditor of State Dave Yost’s office has returned a clean audit report. The district’s excellent record keeping has qualified it for the Auditor of State Award with Distinction.
 
RRHS Junior Wins State Award
Rocky River High School junior Sophie Hudson is the recipient of two state awards for outstanding student achievement. Megan Wagner-Harden, Rocky River High School Intervention Specialist and one of Sophie’s teachers, nominated Sophie for the Annual Outstanding Student Achievement Award, sponsored by the State Support Team Region 3 and the Educational Service Center of Cuyahoga County. She will be recognized for that nomination on May 15th at a special awards breakfast.    
Invitation to Bid: Concrete Replacement and Repair Project
This Invitation to Bid relates to the Rocky River City School District Concrete Replacement and Repair Project ("Project"). The Project may require off-hours work (after regular business hours and on weekends) in order to maintain use of the buildings during the Project. Final completion of the Project must occur no later than July 27, 2015.

This Invitation to Bid relates to the Rocky River City School District Exterior Door Replacement Project ("Project"). The Project may require off-hours work (after regular business hours and on weekends) in order to maintain use of the building during the Project. Final completion of the Project must occur no later than August 14, 2015.
