Kensington's Art Mural Project is Underway!
The 4th grade mural project is underway!  Traditionally, the 4th grade classes at Kensington work cooperatively on a group art project. The goal of this project is to create an opportunity for the kids to be creative and to express both their individual spirits and their classas a whole through art. The finished piece will be displayed at the District Art Show at the end of April and then mounted as a permanent piece of art at Kensington.  This year's project has the kids working with artist and printmaker, Rebekah Wilhelm, from Zygote, and Kensington art teacher, Sarah Braddock, on "Face Fusion". The project involves the kids printing their portraits on a portable press in the classroom and a larger piece designed by the kids that will be printed by Rebekah at Zygote. Both components of this project will be
on display at the art show in April!
