The annual Ohio Scholastic Media Association’s (OSMA) annual conference and banquet was held on Friday, March 24, 2017. Each year, the Pirate Press submits entries to the Ohio Scholastic Media Association’s (OSMA) state contest. The Pirate Press was awarded 20 accolades in a number of categories.

The play-school program offered by the Child Development class at RRHS is designed to provide an environment where preschool age children can play and interact with their peers, while providing an opportunity to take instruction and direction from people outside of their immediate families. Rocky River High School teacher Jennifer Forshey has been recognized by the Federal Bar Association’s newly founded Civics Initiative, which was created to recognize the educators throughout the nation that contribute the most to civics education.

Eight members of Rocky River High School’s Class of 2017 who were recognized as Semifinalists in the prestigious National Merit Competition last fall have advanced to Finalist status. 
7th Annual AP Honor Roll 7th Annual AP Honor Roll
The Rocky River City School District has been named to the College Board’s 7th Annual AP® District Honor Roll. The Honor Roll recognizes 433 school districts in the U.S. and Canada that have increased access to AP coursework while maintaining or increasing the percentage of students earning scores of 3 or higher on AP Exams.
