Dazzle Awards
RRHS’s Drama Department won The Connor Family Best Musical (Tier 1) for the second year with its performance of Legally Blonde. Last year’s performance was Catch Me if You Can. Brandon Schumacker was the recipient of The John and Patricia Chapman Best Actor award for his role as Emmett Forrest.

The annual Ohio Scholastic Media Association’s (OSMA) annual conference and banquet was held on Friday, March 24, 2017. Each year, the Pirate Press submits entries to the Ohio Scholastic Media Association’s (OSMA) state contest. The Pirate Press was awarded 20 accolades in a number of categories.

Rocky River High School teacher Jennifer Forshey has been recognized by the Federal Bar Association’s newly founded Civics Initiative, which was created to recognize the educators throughout the nation that contribute the most to civics education.

Eight members of Rocky River High School’s Class of 2017 who were recognized as Semifinalists in the prestigious National Merit Competition last fall have advanced to Finalist status. 
7th Annual AP Honor Roll 7th Annual AP Honor Roll
The Rocky River City School District has been named to the College Board’s 7th Annual AP® District Honor Roll. The Honor Roll recognizes 433 school districts in the U.S. and Canada that have increased access to AP coursework while maintaining or increasing the percentage of students earning scores of 3 or higher on AP Exams. 
Hyland Software Innovation Showdown Hyland Software Innovation Showdown
Congratulations to RRHS Computer Club students Austin Wilson, Mary Bebie, Ergis Mecaj and Hady Salama for winning the Hyland Software Innovation Showdown. The team created an application that can be used to make employees, staff, and students safer while they are at school or work.
