Red Ribbon Week
The Rocky River Middle School community participated in a week full of activities to promote a drug and alcohol-free environment.  Students and staff enjoyed dressing up in a daily theme to help reinforce the message of the week: Too Smart to Start!  We are the Majority! 
Magazine Sale Fundraiser Prizes
Rocky River Middle School students were able to raise money for their Eighth Grade Washington DC trip and win prizes by selling magazine subscriptions.  The top prizes included a Limo Lunch to Chipotle, playing "Deal or No Deal" and winning homerooms participating in the pig race.   
Pirate's Pen
The first issue of the RRMS student newspaper, Pirate's Pen, is now available online.  Archived issues will be available under the "Student Newspaper" link on the left navigation bar. 
Talent Show
Rocky River Middle School students were able to shine at our talent show held on Thursday, October 23rd.   
Right to Read Week
Rocky River Middle School celebrated Right to Read week with the theme "Good Reads, Good Deeds, and Happy Endings." 
Anne Frank: A History for Today
This thirty-two panel traveling exhibit details the complete life and history of Anne Frank. World War II and the Holocaust are explored through the eyes of Anne Frank. The exhibit raises awareness of how tolerance and justice can result in positive outcomes for both students and the community.  Free tours, led by student docents, are offered for the community.    
Fall Sports Banquet
Our student athletes were recognized at the Fall Sports Banquet on Tuesday, October 21st. Among the teams pictured include athletes from the cheerleading squad, cross country, volleyball and football teams.
