RREF Sponsors Author Trudy Ludwig
Bestselling children’s author Trudy Ludwig is coming to Rocky River City School District thanks to the Rocky River Education Foundation! This February 9-10, Kensington Intermediate School (2/9) and Goldwood Primary School (2/10) students and staff will have the opportunity to spend time with children’s advocate and award-winning author Trudy Ludwig.  
Holiday Concerts
Members of the Rocky River Middle School band performed at their holiday concerts last week and put everyone who attended in the holiday spirit.   
Preseason Dodgeball Tournament
Attached please find information on a preseason dodgeball tournament sponsored by the RRHS Juniors.  The tournament will take place on Saturday, January 31 and the deadline to enter is January 7.   
The Cleveland Browns Celebrate RRMS Students' Philanthropy
The Cleveland Browns sponsor the First and Ten community program to encourage others to give back to their community. In honor of the Rocky River Middle School’s commitment to community service projects, The Browns visited the school on Tuesday, December 9th to celebrate with students.   
National History Day Club
The prestigious National History Day (NHD) program allows history to come alive for our RRMS students by engaging them in the discovery of American History.  A NHD Club informational meeting (for parents and students) will take place  here at the RRMS Commons on Tuesday, December 2 at 7:00 p.m. 
Pirate's Pen
The first issue of the RRMS student newspaper, Pirate's Pen, is now available online.  Archived issues will be available under the "Student Newspaper" link on the left navigation bar. 
Right to Read Week
Rocky River Middle School celebrated Right to Read week with the theme "Good Reads, Good Deeds, and Happy Endings." 
Anne Frank: A History for Today
This thirty-two panel traveling exhibit details the complete life and history of Anne Frank. World War II and the Holocaust are explored through the eyes of Anne Frank. The exhibit raises awareness of how tolerance and justice can result in positive outcomes for both students and the community.  Free tours, led by student docents, are offered for the community.    
RRMS Kicks Off Right to Read Week 2014
On Monday morning, October 20, every student at Rocky River Middle School was given a copy of the book Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie by Jordan Sonnenblick. The book giveaway kicked off Right to Read week and included a Skype session with the author.
