Criteria for Induction:
Dr. Rolland Dickson is a graduate of the Rocky River High School class of 1951, the first class to graduate from the "new high school." He completed his college undergraduate work with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio Wesleyan University. There he was President of his 1955 graduation class. He then entered The Ohio State University School of Medicine and later received a Fellowship in Medicine from the Mayo Clinic. From here he commenced a long relationship with the Mayo Clinic and Foundation that continues today and represents over forty years of service. During this period, Dr. Dickson has become a national and international expert in the field of liver transplantation. His responsibilities have included:
- Senior leadership positions at the Mayo Clinic
- Executive Committee of the Mayo Comprehensive Cancer Center
- Director of Development for Medical Education and Researc
- Director of the Mayo Clinic Liver Transplantation Program
- National Committees on liver transplantation
- Board of Trustees for the Mayo Foundation
- Awarded the honorary designation of Master in the American College of Physician
