ROCKY RIVER, Ohio (Oct. 2, 2024) -- On Wednesday, the Pirates earned their second straight shutout and their fifth in an unbeaten streak that has now run to nine games (7-0-2), as Rocky River boat-raced its way to a 4-0 triumph over Buckeye Wednesday evening.

The Maroon & White netted two goals in the opening half and two more after the intermission, and they have now filed three-or-more goals in five of their last six contests.

The match at Rocky River Stadium marked River's third straight at home. The Pirates (10-2-2, 3-2-2 Cleveland West Conference) are now 6-1-1 on home turf this fall.

Rocky River will play a non-league road match at Avon Saturday at 1 p.m.
