ROCKY RIVER, Ohio (Sept. 28, 2024) -- Rocky River remained unbeaten with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Columbus Watterson in a non-conference tussle between ranked teams Saturday.

The Pirates (11-0-1) got goals from Sophia Sindelar and Grace Quaiser and three saves from goalkeeper Caitlin Rose as they won for a third time this week and extended their home record to 6-0.

Sindelar kept alive a streak that has seen her score a goal in every game this season. 

Saturday's tussle pitted MaxPreps Ohio High School Girls Soccer Rankings No. 3 River against the No. 12 Eagles (Sept. 26 rankings). 

The Maroon & White's next match will be Wednesday at Buckeye as the Pirates return to Cleveland West Conference play.
