INDIANAPOLIS (Sept. 7, 2024) -- Rocky River registered a successful two days in Indianapolis over the weekend. The Pirates remained unbeaten with Friday and Saturday victories over Brebeuf Prep and Cathedral Academy, respectively.

The Checkered Buccaneers took down Brebeuf 6-0 Friday. They followed that up with a 4-0 triumph over Cathedral Saturday. Senior Sophia Sindelar had a big trip, netting a combined five goals to run her season tally to 14. Riding stellar defensive performances, the Pirates (6-0) clocked their fourth and fifth shutouts of the season (RRHS has collected five such victories in a row). They allowed just three shots on goal over the twin wins.

Sindelar has now clocked 14 goals and six assists this season.

Grace Quaiser filed 2G and 2A in Indianapolis. Addie Russell chipped in with 1G and 1A.

Rocky River's 6-0 mark has been built on a plus-27 goal differential (28 GF,1 GA). The Pirates will put those numbers to the test in a big Cleveland West battle at Bay on Wednesday (7 p.m., Bay Memorial Stadium).
