Double-R doubles up at Springvale

RR Girls Golf

NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio (Sept. 9, 2024) -- The Pirates logged a pair of victories in a split tri-match at Springvale Golf Course Monday. Rocky River downed Lake Erie Girls Golf Association foe North Olmsted 174-199 and non-conference opponent Wellington 174-210 on a breezy afternoon at the North Olmsted facility.

Mia Ginnetti carded a 3-over 38 to lead the Pirates, who are now 10-1 since Aug. 13. The match was contested on the 2,380-yard, par-35 outward nine at Springvale. Ginnetti overcame a mid-round double-bogey on the par-4 fifth and played the final four holes in even par. The senior has registered an average score of 38.5 since Aug. 14 and owns a team-best 39.4 average for the season.

The Pirates' other counters Monday were posted by Addie Crane (44), Allie Dewey (45), and Rylie Quaiser (47). Dewey's 45 marked a season-best.

Rocky River (9-2, 7-2 LEGGA) is scheduled to play twice more this week -- a split tri-match against Avon Lake and Strongsville Wednesday (Big Met Golf Course) and an invitational tournament at Fox Meadow Country Club Thursday (Medina Bees Invitational).
