WESTLAKE, Ohio (April 16, 2025) -- Rocky River snapped a three-game losing streak with a 21-4 victory at Westlake Tuesday. The 21 goals marked the most the Pirates had scored in a single game since April 6, 2024 (21 vs. Perrysburg).
The Buccaneers outshot their hosts 34-10 and were a significant plus in turnovers, ground balls, and draws. River got six goals each from Grace DeWitt and Elle Mocho, four from Ellie Holton, and three from Addie Tisler. DeWitt's six net-finders were part of an eight-point night that vaulted her past the 200-point milestone for her career. She finished the game with six goals, two assists, five ground balls, six caused turnovers, and 11 draw controls.
Rocky River (6-4, 5-0 Northern Ohio Lacrosse League) now heads into a 10-day break. The Pirates' next game will be April 26 (home vs. Chardon).

GRACE-FUL: Grace DeWitt becomes the fifth player in the program's statistical era (2016-present) to tally 200 career points. Other members of the 200-point club include Lauren Cain (222P from 2016-19), Kaitlyn Byrne (216P from 2021-24), Olivia Konopka (211P from 2021-23), and Alexis Tisler (201P from 2021-24). DeWitt leads the Pirates in points this spring with 38 (30G, 8A). Over her fine career, she has registered 162G and 39A. ... DeWitt's 11 draw controls Tuesday tied a River single-game record (Byrne--11 vs. Toledo St. Ursula May 17, 2023).
NET GAINS: McKenna Kelly and Emma Yezbak also scored in Tuesday's game at Westlake. Kelly's goal marked a career first. She also filed three ground balls in the game. Yezbak has tallied 7G and 7A this season. ... With her 6G at Westlake, Elle Mocho has now found twine a dozen times in River's last three games. The junior captain has scored 26G this season and 68G in her career.
