ROCKY RIVER, Ohio - The award-winning Rocky River High School Drama Department presents Matilda: The Musical as this year’s spring musical with performances in the high school auditorium at 7:00pm on April 3, 4, 5. The cast and crew have been busy with rehearsals, costumes and building the set over the last few weeks.

The show is based on the 1988 novel Matilda by Roald Dahl. The musical's narrative centers on Matilda Wormwood, a precocious five-year-old girl with the gift of telekinesis, who loves reading, overcomes obstacles caused by her family and school, and helps her teacher to reclaim her life. Packed with high-energy dance numbers, catchy songs and an unforgettable star turn for a young actress, Matilda is a joyous girl power romp.
In addition, RRMS students will host their Spring Musical, Beauty and the Beast, on May 16-17 in the Commons.
