ROCKY RIVER, Ohio – Rocky River High School student Flint Slankard received first place in artwork in the 80th Annual Lakewood/Rocky River Rotary Exhibition at Beck Center. Flint’s work was titled Birds in Flight done with charcoal on 18x24 inch paper.
Flint will be honored and recognized with other award winners at an awards ceremony on April 14 at the Beck Center for the Arts.
A number of other RRHS students also submitted artwork in the competition.
The annual contest features the talents of students from high schools in Lakewood and Rocky River, including Lakewood, Lutheran West, Magnificat, Rocky River and St. Edward high schools.
