Kensington Presents Difference Maker Awards

ROCKY RIVER, Ohio – Kensington Intermediate School hosted its end-of-year awards assembly on Monday morning and presented its Difference Maker Awards. Congratulations to this year’s award recipients:
 
  • 3rd grade: Jeffrey Lehtinen
  • 4th grade: Piper Kane
  • 5th grade: Caroline Zerbey
  • Staff Member: Mr. Scott Raiff
 
The Difference Maker Awards are given to one student each year from each grade who and a staff member who have made a positive impact in the building during the school year. Nominations are accepted from students, teachers, staff and administrators.
 
Today’s assembly also honored those students who are involved in activities at Kensington, including Channel 10, Chess Club, Destination Imagination, K-Kids, Readers Theater, Safety Patrol, Student Council and Art Club.

The assembly was followed by the inaugural "Proud to be a Pirate Parade" where students did a lap around the school. The parade was planned and organized by Student Council and led by this year's Difference Makers. All students decorated and carried a pirate flag or a flag that represented a KIS club that they were involved in this year.
