National History Day Club

The prestigious National History Day (NHD) program allows history to come alive for our Middle School and High School students by engaging them in the discovery of History. This after-school extracurricular Club challenges student teams to build and present a History project of their choice as guided by our NHD Club Advisor. NHD inspires students through exciting competitions, leadership and team-building, and research/analysis skills. Student teams use research skills to create a history project in one of the following categories: a research paper, an exhibit, a performance, a documentary, or a website.

Our NHD Club after-school program (one day per week, 3:30-5:00pm) - one day at the Middle School and another day at the High School - November through March. Judging for the District competition will take place on March 4, 2017 at the Cleveland History Center (Western Reserve Historical Society) at University Circle. Winners will then advance to a state-wide NHD Ohio History Day competition in April 2017, and winners could even advance to the National NHD competition in June 2017.
