CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio (Oct. 2, 2023) -- Rocky River earned a 5-2 non-conference win at Chagrin Falls Monday.

The Pirates (12-2) got two goals and an assist from junior Stephen Cain in what marked the team's seventh straight win. Zach Kern, Steph Loizos, and Christopher Saade also scored for River. Eric Gorious had two assists; Vinny Anthony had one.

Gio Lizzini was credited with four saves in a game that saw the visitors ousthoot the Tigers 16-6 (shots on goal).

The Sons of Blackbeard will return to Great Lakes Conference West Division play Wednesday when they travel to Bay.
