AVON, Ohio (Oct. 2, 2023) -- The Pirates closed out their regular season with a three-man match against the Lutheran West Longhorns. A bar napkin from host Red Tail Golf Club's grill room could have covered the Buccaneers' three scores, and Rocky River cruised to a 125-196 triumoh over the Longhorns.

River built its one-and-a-quarter in 41-42-42 fashion, with Julia Schmid carding the 41 (her best nine-hold round since Sept. 6: 41 at Sweetbrier GC), and Chloe Holton and Mia Ginnetti posting the 42s.

The win marked the Pirates' 39th over the last two seasons. Rocky River went 19-2 across 21 matches this fall; the Double-R went 20-1 in 2022.

Rocky River will compete in sectional tournament play (Springvale Golf Course, North Olmsted) Tuesday.
