ROCKY RIVER, Ohio (Oct. 11, 2023) -- The Pirates earned a 2-0 victory over North Olmsted in a Great Lakes Conference West Division match-up marking the regular-season finale for both teams. The win sealed a GLC West title for Rocky River, which went 4-1 across five division contests this fall.

Sebastian Maher and Zach Kern scored the Buccaneer goals. Assists were filed by Vinny Anthony and Maher. Both Double-R goals were tallied over the final 20 minutes of play.

The Pirates are 8-1 over their last nine games. 

The West title marks River's first conference crown since 2018. It is the program's third GLC title and the program's 18th overall.

Rocky River (13-3, 4-1 GLC West) will now prepare for postseason play. On Monday, the Pirates will host the Lutheran West Longhorns in a first-round game of the DII Northeast 5 District Tournament (Rocky River Stadium, 6 p.m. kickoff).
