RR Girls Soccer

NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio (Oct. 7, 2023) -- Rocky River kept its unbeaten record alive with a 3-0 win over St. Joseph Saturday.

The Pirates (14-0) scored two early goals, in the sixth (Maeve Kelly from Ava Patti) and 13th (Olivia Byall from Kelly) minutes and would make those stand up with a second-half insurance goal (Addison Russell) and two saves by goalkeeper Caitlin Rose.

The win at Victory Park marked the Pirates' third over the Jaguars in as many years. River has shut out SJA in all three of those games; Saturday marked the team's fifth shutout of the season.

Saturday's match marked the first of three in a row on the road for the second-ranked (Ohio High School Athletic Association DII State Poll) Maroon & White. That stretch will continue Tuesday with a non-conference road test at Canton GlenOak.
