ROCKY RIVER, Ohio (Sept. 27, 2023) -- Rocky River clocked a 2-0 Senior Night win over Elyria Catholic Wednesday.

The Pirates got second-half goals from senior Zach Kern and junior Steph Loizos as they reeled in their sixth straight victory; four of those recent wins have been via shutouts. Senior goalkeeper Giovanni Lizzini was credited with three saves in the match.

The Great Lakes Conference West Division game was preceeded by the Pirates (11-2, 3-0 GLC West) honoring their members of the class of 2024: Lucas Budge, Julian Bussoletti, Patrick Connelly, Zach Kern, Giovanni Lizzini, and Christopher Saade.

Next time out, those seniors and the rest of their Buccaneer mates will put their win streak on the line in a non-conference match. That match will be Monday at Chagrin Falls.
