RR Softball

ROCKY RIVER, Ohio (April 27, 2024) -- Rocky River ledgered its fourth consecutive victory with a Saturday triumph under the lights. Solid pitching and some big-bat performances propelled the Pirates to a 11-2 win at Lutheran West.

Freshman Reagan Kane twirled seven innings for the River Raiders. Kane scattered five singles and four walks in limiting the Longhorns to solo runs in the first and sixth innings.

Rocky River (10-7) broke from its neighbors to the south with five runs in the fourth and four more in the fifth. The River offense was bolstered by a power surge. Kane tripled as part of a 3-for-4 performance. Juliana Benjamin smacked two homers and collected five RBIs; Carly Ewing homered and went 2-for-4 while driving in two runs.

For the game, Rocky River outhit Lutheran West 11-5.

The night game closed out a four-games-in-as-many-days stretch for the Pirates. Over those four games -- all victories, Benjamin went 7-for-14 while driving in 10 runs.
