PARMA, Ohio (Sept. 9, 2023) -- Rocky River coasted to a 9-0 win over Valley Forge in Great Lakes Conference crossover action Saturday.

The Pirates (7-0) sprinted to a 6-0 lead over the first 17 minutes of play, maintained a near-100% edge in scoring opportunities, and went on to tie their single-game season high in goals (Aug. 19, Sept. 6) in a one-sided affair at Byers Field.

River goals were scored by Mackenzie Russell (four), Ava Patti (two), Morgan Burnett, Ellie Holton, and Sophia Sindelar. Patti (two assists) and Sindelar (3A) registered multiple assists in the contest. Rylie Quaiser made one save.

The Pirates are slated to host Avon (4-1-2) in a Monday non-conference match at Rocky River Stadium.
