ROCKY RIVER, Ohio (Sept. 18, 2023) -- Rocky River logged a 2-0 non-conference win over Firelands Monday.

The Pirates scored both of their goals in the first half en route to their sixth shutout of the season. Zach Kern and Noah Nagy scored goals; Tanner Laporte and Steph Loizos were credited with assists. Rocky River (7-2) put 14 shots on goal to the Falcons' four. Goalkeeper Gio Lizzini made stops on all four Firelands shots on frame.

The Pirates are slated to play a Wednesday Great Lakes Conference West Division game at Westlake.
