HURON, Ohio (Aug. 9, 2023) -- The Pirates earned a third-place finish at Wednesday's Edison Invitational at Thunderbird Hills Golf Club. River went low in taking bronze on the par-72, 4,721-yard layout, posting a program-record score of 356.

Rocky River's four scorers were Chloe Holton (37-42--79), Mia Ginnetti (39-41--80), Julia Schmid (45-43--88), and Charlotte Roche (54-56--109). Only two teams in a field of 23 undercut River's 356. That figure was 13 strokes lower than the 369 the team filed in last year's Edison Invitational (Aug. 10, 2022) at the same venue. (That 369-mark was the Double-R's best score of the 2022 season.)  

The Pirates are scheduled to host the River Invitational at Big Met Golf Course Thursday.
