RR Girls Golf

NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio (Aug. 16, 2022) -- Rocky River closed out its week with a sweep in a Lake Erie Girls Golf Association tri-match against Fairview and North Olmsted Wednesday. The senior duo of of Mia Ginnetti and Chloe Holton were all over par like swashbuckling on a Pirate, and they lead the Maroon & White to the twin wins at Springvale Golf Course.

Ginnetti hit five greens and carded seven pars en route to a 2-over 37 -- a season-best nine for the Pirates' second-leading scorer -- in the event hosted by North Olmsted High School. Holton fired the same score, tying a nine she recorded at Thunderbird Hills Golf Club Aug. 9. She hit six greens and registered five pars and a birdie. River's leading scorer carded a 3 on the par-4 ninth hole.

Rocky River (3-0, 3-0 LEGGA) added a pair of 53s to the mix (Ava Mae DeMooy, Charlotte Roche) in posting a score of 180. That figure was 41 strokes clear of the North Olmsted Eagles (221) and 72 strokes ahead of the Fairview Warriors (252).

The Pirates will host their next match when they welcome Keystone and Shaker Heights for a Tuesday tri-match at Big Met Golf Course.
