ROCKY RIVER, Ohio (Aug. 31, 2022) -- Rocky River clocked a 6-0 shutout of the Normandy Invaders Wednesday at Rocky River Stadium.

The Pirates' goals were scored in equal measure by Ava Patti and Sophia Sindelar (three each) in a one-sided affair that did not witness a shot on goal by the visitors. Rocky River scored five of its goals in the first 20 minutes of play. The rest of the match was a methodical clock diffusal en route to the Pirates' third straight shutout. River pressured the Invaders into nine corner kicks in the contest.

Assists were tallied by Patti -- her team-leading sixth of the season, Sindelar, and Maeve Kelly.

Sindelar's hat trick continued a start to the season that has been all-nylon-all-the-time. The sophomore standout now has 11 goals through River's first four matches.

The Wednesday tilt on Detroit Road marked the second game in a hectic stretch for Rocky River. Between Aug. 29-Sept. 7 the Pirates will play six times.
