CLEVELAND (Aug. 24, 2022) -- The Pirates fired a season-best 165, as they dismantled the Fairview Warriors 165-240 in a Wednesday match at Little Met Golf Course.

Rocky River (7-0) had three players within nine shots of par on the 2,195-yard, par-34 track in the valley. Sophomore Julia Schmid carded a personal best 38 to lead the Pirates, who have now won five matches by a margin of 25 strokes or more. Joining Schmid in River's top-4 were junior Chloe Holton (41), sophomore Mia Ginnetti (43), and senior Nora Sheridan (43).

The Pirates' previous best this season had been a 168, which the team filed in a Little Met match against Avon Lake on Aug. 17.

Rocky River will next put its unbeaten mark on the line Monday in a road match against Cuyahoga Heights (Washington Park Golf Course--Newburgh Heights.)
