Double-R takes two in Monday home matches

RR Girls Golf

CLEVELAND (Sept. 12, 2022) -- The Pirates earned a pair of wins Monday to run their unbeaten season record to 13-0. In a home tri-match against Cuyahoga Heights and Fairview -- played in the valley at Little Met Golf Course -- Rocky River fired a four-man score of 180. That total was easily clear of the Red Wolves (201) and Warriors (239), as the Maroon & White successfully rebounded from finishing second in Thursday's Lake Erie Girls Golf Association.

River's scoring four Monday were Mia Ginnetti (41), Marin Richmond (45), Nora Sheridan (46), and Julia Schmid (48). Richmond's 45 marked a personal best, but
the Pirates won despite posting their highest team score this season on their par-34, 2,195-yard home course.

Ginnetti's round marked her second-best at Little Met this season (37 on Sept. 1). She has clocked a stroke average of 41.5 over Rocky River's six rounds at Little Met.
