RR Girls Golf

CLEVELAND (Sept. 13, 2022) -- For a second straight day, the Pirates took two on their home turf alongside the winding river from which their school name is derived. On Tuesday, Rocky River swept two matches at home, topping North Olmsted (120-156 in a three-score match) and Wellington (168-227 in a standard four-score match) at Little Met Golf Course.

River's top scorers were Chloe Holton and Julia Schmid. Holton bounced back from a Monday 49 on the same course to card a 4-over 38 on the 2,195-yard layout. Schmid logged a 39, her second-best score of the season. They were joined by Mia Ginnetti (43) and Sophia Loparo (48) on the team's scoring four.

The North Olmsted match was a Lake Erie Girls Golf Association contest. With Tuesday's twin wins, Rocky River (15-0, 8-0 LEGGA) is now 9-0 at home. Tuesday's 168 marks the team's second-best (tied) Little Met score of the season.
