RRHS Drama Department Earns Multiple Dazzle Award Nominations

ROCKY RIVER, Ohio – Fresh off an outstanding on-stage performance of Young Frankenstein in April, the Rocky River High School Drama Department has earned multiple nominations in the 2022 Dazzle Awards.
 
This year’s Dazzle Awards will be presented on May 21 at the Connor Palace Theater beginning at 7:30pm. Tickets are available here.
 
RRHS has been nominated in the categories of Best Student Orchestra, Best Technical Execution, Best Costume Design, Best Choreography Execution, Best Ensemble/Chorus and Best Musical (Tier 1).
 
RRHS has won the Best Musical (Tier 1) award four times for its performances of Singin’ in the Rain (2019), Monty Python’s Spamalot (2018), Legally Blonde (2017) and Catch Me If You Can (2016).
 
In addition, RRHS students London Golya, Max Lucic and Carter Sindelar were nominated in the Best Supporting Actor category. Golya portrayed ‘Inspector Kemp' in the production, Lucic played ‘The Monster' and Sindelar was ‘The Herald/Victor von Frankenstein/The Hermit'.
 
The Dazzle Awards presented by Patricia and John Chapman recognizes and showcases the most talented high school musical theater performers in Northeast Ohio and culminates the annual Dazzle Awards program. A panel of judges attend one production at each participating school, provide feedback and determine nominees and awards for participating schools.
