River rock-solid in taut home win over Westlake

RR Girls Golf

CLEVELAND (Aug. 16, 2022) -- Rocky River clocked a hard-fought 176-182 victory in a Tuesday Lake Erie Girls Golf Association match against Westlake.

The Pirates (3-0, 2-0 LEGGA) averaged a 44 on the par-34, 2,194-yard Little Met Golf Course layout in the Rocky River valley. River's four scorers were Chloe Holton (42), Mia Ginnetti (43), Nora Sheridan (44), and Sophia Loparo (47).

Sheridan played her last four holes in 2-over par and finished her round with a team-best 15 putts.

Kaitlin Zink carded a 42 to lead the Demons.
 
The match marked the first of back-to-back days in the valley for the Pirates. Rocky River is slated to host a Little Met match against LEGGA foe Avon Lake on Wednesday.
