RR Girls' Golf

CLEVELAND -- Rocky River fell to St. Joseph, 182-193, on Monday. The match -- River's first of the season -- was held at the par-34 2,194-yard Little Met Golf Course.

Sophomore Chloe Holton paced the Pirates with a 10-over 44. Holton logged two pars in the match against the Jaguars.

Rocky River's three other scoring players were freshman Mia Ginnetti (47), senior Kate McKeown (51), and junior Nora Sheridan (51). The season-opening event was played in hot, windy conditions in the valley.

The Pirates are slated to continue their fall campaign Wednesday at the Edison Invitational in Huron, Ohio.
