ROCKY RIVER, Ohio -- The Pirates won their annual Rockport Cup game against the Warriors, as Rocky River defeated Fairview, 3-0, in Great Lakes Conference West Division play Wednesday.

River snapped a six-game winless streak (0-4-2) with its 12th win in 12 Cup games against the Warriors (trophy instituted in 2010). The Pirates (5-5-5, 2-3 GLC West) got goals from Jack Bowers, Christian Cukon, and Stephen Cain.

With their win Wednesday, the Sons of Blackbeard are 38-15-6 across 59 all-time matches against the Fairview Warriors.
