ROCKY RIVER, Ohio -- Rocky River collected a 1-0 win over the Normandy Invaders in Saturday's Great Lakes Conference Crossover Challenge.

An early-season-half goal by Jack Maher marked the lone score of a contest that marked the end of the regular season. Maher's goal -- his fourth of the season -- was assisted by Hogan Kern. The goal was tallied in the 42nd minute.

The win marked the River Raiders' second over Normandy this season. The Double-R downed the Invaders, 3-0, on Sept. 1. River is now 8-2 all-time against Normandy and has won six straight in the series.

The Pirates (6-5-5) are now bracket bound. Rocky River will host Cleveland Bard Early College in a Tuesday match at Rocky River Stadium, 6 p.m.). The contest is part of one of four district tournaments in DII Region 5.
