RR Girls' Soccer

NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio -- Six players found twine in the Pirates' highest-scoring match of the month, as Rocky River defeated North Olmsted, 7-0, in a Wednesday evening Great Lakes Conference West Division tilt.

Rocky River (10-2, 2-1 GLC West) got two goals from Maeve Kelly and one each from Ava Patti, Taylor Byall, Mackenzie Russell, Addie Harris, and Sophia Murray. Kelly and Sophia Sindelar added assists on a night that saw River net its most goals in a game since Aug. 31 (nine vs. Normandy). The Pirates scored three goals in the first half (all in the opening 20 minutes) and four in the second.

Kelly and Murray have tallied points in three consecutive matches since the Pirates were blanked by Bay, 2-0, on Sept. 22. Kelly's 30 points (12 goals, six assists) on the season are a team high.

Eight of River's 10 wins this season have now come via shutouts. Wednesday's clean sheet caps off a stretch of three matches in five days. Rocky River went 3-0 in those contests, outscoring Brunswick, Chagrin Falls, and North Olmsted, 10-0.
