River cards Key victory at Grayhawk

RR Girls' Golf

LaGRANGE, Ohio -- Rocky River earned its first win of the season, as the Pirates downed the Keystone Wildcats, 197-226, on Tuesday.

Chloe Holton and Kate McKeown carded 47s to lead the Pirates in the Lake Erie Girls' Golf Association victory at Grayhawk Golf Club. Holton rallied from a pair of mid-round double-bogeys to finish par-bogey-bogey on the 2,559-yard inward nine at Grayhawk.

Rocky River (1-3, 1-1 LEGGA) filed a 47-47-49-54 score sheet, with Rachel Baird carding the 49 and Mia Ginnetti posting the 54. Baird parred her final two holes to break 50.

The match was played in blazing hot, humid conditions at the par-36 track in LaGrange, Ohio.
