Ohio Guide to School Report Cards
RIVER, Ohio - The Rocky River City School District (RRCSD) earned straight A’s and an overall grade of an A on the 2019 Ohio School Report Card that was released on Thursday by the Ohio Department of Education (ODE).
Rocky River was one of just four Districts in the state to earn A’s on all reported components of the State Report Card, receiving A’s in Achievement, Progress, Gap Closing, Graduation Rate and Prepared for Success. In addition, Rocky River was one of only 31 Districts throughout the state to earn an overall A.
On the performance index of the Ohio School Report Card, Rocky River scored
109.385 to rank second in the state, marking the 10th straight year the
District has ranked in the top-10. The number two ranking is tied for the
highest ranking the District has achieved (2011, 2017, 2019).
This year’s report card reflects the 2018-2019 school year and provides a snapshot into how school districts performed on a series of measures.
“The State Report Card is one of several measures that we use to evaluate student performance in the Rocky River City School District,” Superintendent Dr. Michael Shoaf said. “This report card is a direct reflection of the hard work and passion for learning that goes on at every school in the District. Our students, faculty, staff, parents and guardians, and community should be extremely proud of this accomplishment.”
“The performance of our students reflects the high expectations we continually strive for based on the District’s mission. Our parents and guardians are extremely supportive and our faculty does a great job in preparing well-rounded students. We will continue to look at all of our data and analyze how we can continue to be successful.”
