FAIRVIEW PARK, Ohio – Rocky River defeated Keystone, 199-229, in a Lake Erie Girls’ Golf Association match on Tuesday.
The Pirates (9-2, 7-0) remained unbeaten in 2019 LEGGA action with the 30-stroke victory on their home hunting grounds of Big Met Golf Course. River’s four scoring players were Ciara Grieve (48), Rachel Baird (48), Lexi Aguilar (51) and Maggie Rodgers (52). Grieve has been the Pirates’ top scorer in four consecutive matches.
Rocky River is scheduled to play at Bay (Sweetbriar Golf
Club -- Avon, Ohio) on Wednesday.
The LEGGA Championship Tournament is also on the horizon for the Pirates. The circuit’s title event will be played at Legacy Golf Club (Avon) on Sept. 18.
