AKRON, Ohio -- A tough bracket draw and a formidable foe marked the end of sophomore Samantha Robertson's run in the DI Northeast Ohio District Singles Tournament on Thursday. [Results]

Robertson was defeated, 6-0, 6-1, by Mayfield senior Hannah Kassaie, a fine player who has advanced to the district final in the event being contested at the Springside Racquet Club. The 2020 Great Lakes Conference singles champion and 2020 GLC MVP finished her season with a 19-6 record.
