Double-R goes low in league win over Wildcats

RR Girls' Golf

CLEVELAND -- Rocky River returned to action with a 149-175 victory over Keystone on Tuesday.

The Pirates combined to record six birdies over the 1,103-yard, par-34 Washington Golf Course. Kate McKeown paced the squad in the Lake Erie Girls Golf Association match. McKeown's card included a pair of birdies on the way to an even-par 34. Ciara Grieve (35), Lauren Solecki (37), and Lexi Aguilar (43) also figured in River's four-score total. Aguilar's round was highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 eighth.

Sarah Farling and Sophia LoParo both carded 45s.

Rocky River (5-2, 4-1 LEGGA) is slated to trave to Pine Brook Golf Club in Grafton, Ohio, for a Wednesday match against Columbia.
