Seniors saluted, Rockets defused

RR Girls' Golf

CLEVELAND -- The 2021 graduating class of Rocky River Girls' Golf was honored as part of the program's Senior Day, and the Pirates did the seniors proud with a 188-208 victory at Little Met Golf Course Tuesday.

The Pirates (9-2, 8-1 Lake Erie Girls' Golf Association) were led by junior Kate McKeown, who carded a 41 over the 2,194-yard track along the banks of the Rocky River. Veterans Lexi Aguilar (47), Ciara Grieve (49), and Sarah Farling (51) also figured in Rocky River's four-player score. That trio -- along with fellow seniors Lauren Solecki and Cami Stevovich -- was honored as part of the day's festivities.

The Maroon & White now turn their attention to the four-team LEGGA Championship Tournament which will be contested at Grey Hawk Golf Club in LaGrange, Ohio, on Wednesday.
