RR Girls' Golf

AVON, Ohio -- Senior Ciara Grieve and junior Kate McKeown paced Rocky River to a Lake Erie Girls Golf Association victory over Bay on Wednesday.

Carding sub-50 rounds on the 2,476-yard front nine at Sweetbriar Golf Club, Grieve and McKeown led the Pirates to a 22-stroke cushion in a 195-217 match. Grieve parred four holes in recording a medalist 44. McKeown posted a 47.

The other two scores for Rocky River (7-2, 6-1 LEGGA) were carded by Lexi Aguilar (51) and Chloe Holton (53).

Wednesday's round sends River into a four-day break. The Pirates schedule is slated to resume with a LEGGA match at Columbia on Monday. The league's title event -- the LEGGA Championship Tournament -- is scheduled to be played at Grey Hawk Golf Club in LaGrange, Ohio, on Sept. 16.
