ROCKY RIVER, Ohio – The Pirates returned to competition courts in a home match against the Brecksville Bees Monday afternoon. Brecksville defeated Rocky River, 4-1.

River got strong performances from Samantha Robertson, Hannah Burgess, and Makenzie Runyon. Robertson garnered a 6-2, 6-2 victory in first singles and is now 3-1 on the young season. Burgess and Runyon were solid in a hard-fought 6-2, 7-6 loss in second singles.

The Pirates (2-2) are scheduled to take on Fairview in a Great Lakes Conference match on Tuesday.
