LaGRANGE, Ohio -- Rocky River edged Columbia and two other foes to take the title in Wednesday's Lake Erie Girls Golf Association Championship Tournament.

The Pirates carded a four-man score of 421 in difficult scoring conditions at the 5,100-yard Grey Hawk Golf Club. That score bested a field including the Columbia Raiders (426), Bay Rockets (450), and Keystone Wildcats (460). River's win spells the programs fifth league title in as many years.

On Wednesday, it was an even effort in cobbling together the Pirates' top four scores. Ciara Grieve led the way with a 50-53--103. Kate McKeown carded a 51-54--105. Lexi Aguilar posted a 51-55--106. And Sarah Farling logged a 54-53--107.

Rocky River closed out LEGGA play with an 11-1 record. The Maroon & White are 12-2 overall on a season that is slated to continue with a Sept. 24 tri-match (Bay, St. Joseph) at Westwood Country Club.
