ROCKY RIVER, Ohio -- The Pirates dropped a non-conference match to the Avon Lake Shoregals Monday afternoon.

Sophomore Samantha Robertson earned a 6-0, 6-0 victory to claim Rocky River's lone win. The victory at first singles upped Robertson's season mark to 15-2.

Senior Makenzie Runyon gave a game effort in third singles. Runyon's loss included a tiebreaker as did the setback for Hannah Burgess and Scout Hahn in second singles.

Up next for the Pirates (5-12) is Wednesday's Great Lakes Conference Championship Tournament.
