ROCKY RIVER, Ohio – Double-R Girls’ Soccer closed out its regular season with a 2-1 victory over Hawken on Thursday evening.
The Pirates (9-5-1) rode goals by Taylor Byall (her third in
two days) and Addie Harris and three saves by Sabrina Rick to the home-field
victory. With the non-conference victory, River closes out its 2019 regular
season on a two-match win streak.
Up next, Rocky River has earned a No. 1 seed and a bye in the upcoming Oct. 14-24 DII Elyria District Tournament. The Pirates will host the winner of an 8/9 match-up – Fairview vs. Padua – at Rocky River Stadium on Oct. 17 (7 p.m.).
