Pirates fall to Tigers, 11-2

ROCKY RIVER, Ohio -- The Pirates fell to Chagrin Falls, 11-2, in Friday afternoon non-conference action action.

Rocky River (5-6) took a 2-0 lead on a Braedon Spies single in the home half of the first inning. The Tigers would outscore the Pirates, 11-0, the rest of the way.

The visiting nine tallied three runs in the second, fourth, and fifth innings. The Tigers managed eight hits in that stretch and would outhit the Pirates, 14-4, for the game.

Spies had half of Rocky River's base hits; he went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles. Nathan Mitchell went 1-for-2 with a stolen base.

With the Friday setback, the Sons of Blackbeard have now lost four in a row.
