State Report Card 2013-2014

Rocky River City School District State Report Card 2013-2014

On September 12, the Ohio Department of Education released the State Report Card for 2013-2014. The Rocky River City School District's Performance Index was 111.34, the fifth highest score in the state and second in Northeast Ohio.

Superintendent Michael Shoaf credits the scores on the State Report Card to "students who work really hard, teachers who provide quality instruction and parents who follow through at home. The other key to Rocky River's success is a very supportive community. Because of their generous support, we are able to provide programs to meet the needs of our students."

Dr. Shoaf also noted “We will work to maintain our areas of strength, as well as improve upon subgroup performance.  The rating for students with disabilities was a “C”, which means that annual level of improvement was met but not exceeded.  The rating for the lower 20% of students was a “B”, also meeting the annual level of improvement.  We will continue to target both of these areas for further improvement.”
