Principal Rob Winton states, “Rocky River High School is honored to showcase the immense singing and acting talents of its students at this year’s Dazzle Awards. Displaying and promoting the arts is essential to developing students in a well-rounded curriculum, and it helps contribute to a positive culture within the school.”

Playhouse Square has offered arts education opportunities throughout the school year and culminates with “The Dazzle Awards,” an awards showcase modeled after the Tony Awards, on May 21, 2016 at 7:30. Dazzle Awards will be presented to outstanding musical theater productions and students in thirteen categories, including Best Musical, Best Actor/Actress, Best Student Orchestra, Best Supporting Actor/Actress, Best Featured Performer, Best Ensemble/Chorus, Best Choreography Execution, Best Costume Design, Best Technical Execution, and Best Scenic Design. Nominations and awards will be based on the evaluations of an independent panel of adjudicators.

The winners of the Best Actor and Best Actress categories will represent Northeast Ohio at the National High School Musical Theatre Awards in New York City in June 2016.
