River sails past Olmsted Falls 18-3

Mackenzie Russell

OLMSTED FALLS, Ohio (March 26, 2024) -- Senior attacker Alexis Tisler ledgered a seven-point game, and eight Rocky River players netted goals in an 18-3 rout at Olmsted Falls Tuesday.

The Pirates opened a 6-0 lead over the first seven minutes and never looked back as they won by a double-digit margin for a second consecutive game. Tisler, a second-team all-Region 5 honoree a year ago when she logged 42 goals and 20 assists, scored three of those first six River goals. She would finish the night with 5G and 2A in running her season point total to 23 (14G, 9A).

Kaitlyn Byrne (2G, 2A), Grace DeWitt (3G, 1A), Elle Mocho (2G), Daisy Thompson (2G), and Addie Tisler (2G, 1A) also filed multiple goals for the Striped Buccaneers, who have now outscored their last two foes by an aggregate score of 39-5. In Tuesday's Northern Ohio Lacrosse League affair at OFHS, River scored eight goals in the opening quarter, five in the second, three in the third, and two in the fourth.

Other box-score highlights for Rocky River (4-0, 3-0 NOLL) included Mackenzie Russell logging a goal, seven ground balls, and four caused turnovers and DeWitt coming away with seven draw controls.

Alexis Tisler has now reeled in 15 points (9G, 6A) over the Pirates' last two games.

Rocky River's next game will be a non-league contest at Perrysburg April 6.
